The machine feels quite robust while typing, and provides the satisfying sounds, albeit loud. I recently began collecting and using typewriters during the spring of this year and went on a brief but consistent acquisition phase: among my first finds was a Hermes 3000 that I purchased from someone who had found it lying amongst a pile of junk their neighbors had left behind during their move out of state.It was preceded by the Hermes 2000 (which is an awesome machine), but Hermes took a big leap forward with the 3000, which is the closest a portable can get to being a fully featured standard machine.
