All cased in steel and finished in 1942, they carry individual case numbers ranging from 051313 to 051324.Produced for only about six years from 1939-1945, reference 3525 is the first Rolex chronograph fitted in a water resistant Oyster case and is the model Hans Wilsdorf sent to English officers who were imprisoned during WWII. The model was produced in stainless steel, pink and yellow gold or two toned steel and gold. This watch, made in 1942, measures a relatively massive (for the time) 44mm and is powered by a Valjoux 55 VBR movement, as found in several other split-second chronographs, like the Universal A.
