After diving deep into the Rolex/Tudor horological history, I found myself obsessed with story of the California Dial, Kirk Rich, and how Tudor brought it back in the early 2000s. I found this practically unworn specimen with box, papers, recent service, and an untouched bracelet with all links on Chrono24 and knew I needed to pull the trigger. Vintage Panerai watches were not known to have been sent to Kirk Rich Dial for modification to the degree that Rolex and Tudor examples were. Sporting a Rolex Oyster case, a design so called because of its water-resistant capabilities, the Tudor Oyster is essentially a version of Rolex’s iconic design but with a third-party movement.
