To me it looks rather comparable to the visual impression that a ceramic Submariner makes with its fatter, supercase lugs (which I, by the way, do not mind). Size-wise, this version of the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m is 39.5mm wide, 14.2m thick, and has a 45.6mm lug-to-lug distance. Aside from the thickness (which can’t be helped and is part of the overall personality of this piece), that is a pretty small footprint on the wrist for a serious diver’s watch. I was told by an OMEGA representative that the 45mm lug-to-lug spacing was to ensure the PO 39.5mm sat in the centre of ones wrist. As I said to the OMEGA representative at the time, the lug-to-lug distance on the PO 39.5mm should measure 46.5mm to . the 39.5 has a lug to lug of of 45mm which is just over 1-3/4inch the 43 has a lug to lug of 49mm which 1-15/16inch just shy of 2.
