However the VAT in my 3 countries does differ. Spain is 18%, France 19.6% (will increase to 21.2% in Oct) & Italy 21% so I have to factor in that as well. Its basically 0 duty free for each member of the family. That means, if you purchase a 0 bag at LV in Europe, you can get your tax back, and the price is already about 12% less, or more depending on the dollar. It adds up to a nice chunk of savings, and a great souvenir. High price purchases are more tricky.
