On remote speakers I get a right channel, on tape 1, tape 2 and tuner. I realized later i forgot to retest aux on remote speakers.
I turned the volume down and it came back on and now if the level gets above about 30% it cuts out until its turned back down. However if I balance it all to the right channel it will go as loud as normal with no problems. Does anybody know why this is happening, blown mosfet or something? Turns out one wire was squeezed under a screw, which had destroyed its insulation. A quick “fix” is to ensure contact by using a short RCA cable to connect pre-out to main in and just leave that in. Some deoxit in the jacks and a workout with the cable may clean them, but just leaving a cable in is for sure.
