That seems such a short time to have the battery changed. Any insight would be appreciated. In reading the forum I read a post that sending the watch to Breitling they will change the battery, gaskets, exchange the dial and bracelet at a large cost. Breitling will service the watch to like brand new condition. You would only have problems if they needed to replace the movement and they didn't have one in stock. I believe Breitling have lots of spare parts. I have heard of them . You could bring it to a jeweler who can replace the battery and water gaskets for you. Check out Breitlingsource.com too to see if it has all original parts. They list what bracelets, dials, movements and bezels came with each generation.
The more proper way to open a Breitling caseback is to use a Breitling 15-sided caseback die designed for use in Horotec or Bergeon openers. These are large devices with big wheels on the top that look something like this: The Aerospace is a pretty cool ultra-light multifunction watch that is great for travel or anything where you don’t want a big honking Super Avenger style watch sitting on your wrist. SuperQuartz accuracy and 42mm diameter make it a very good choice if you are going this route.
